“Hello mute one!”

So I had to leave opera camp early because I got a hemorrhage on my right vocal chord. And that’s really about all I have to say right now.

Translation? Life’s kind of sucking right now.

It’s summer!

Well, it’s finally summer vacation. It’s nice to be able to sleep until 1. Although, now with opera camp starting up, it’s an earlier bedtime and an earlier time to wake up. And singing all day. I’ll be stocking up on cough drops, tea, and other odd things before I leave on Friday. I’m really nervous, actually. My music is really intimidating and I’m scared I won’t get it. Amber says I’m getting it, and to a certain extent I am… but I don’t feel ready. But oh well, too bad, I have to be. It will be fun, even if things with the music aren’t perfect.

I’m going to New Orleans in July… and then Emily is going to Paris at the end of July and… yes. I don’t know. I believe it’s time for bed. That wasn’t a very interesting post.

I leave for California on Friday afternoon. I’m excited. Momoko and I are talking about when I should get theater tickets, and a possible brunch on Saturday… although she said Jen is doing two shows that day so maybe not. Whatever works, really. I talked to Bryan today too. He told me the show hasn’t changed a whole lot… just little things, they cut Nathan’s part of the Leon video… I told him Maddy and Anna would be crushed. Maddy is indeed. Haha. I started packing today… I suck at packing. I’m bringing a small suitcase this time so there’s less room for me to over pack.

I’m in search of a new juries song and then I’m off to bed.

The weekend goes by so quickly. It’s kind of disappointing.

On Friday… I believe I hung out with Emily… I can’t quite remember. And then Saturday evening Natasha, Will, Natasha’s mom and I went to see Ms. Sletten’s show, woo! It was really great. Today, Anna, Erin and Maddy came over. We chatted with Anna’s mom about the trip and then Erin took us to Target and we spent the afternoon working on projects and a giant treasure map whilst watching Dodgeball.

Tomorrow… school. My juries song is really giving me some trouble. This week is pretty low key, my dad leaves town on Thursday so I have to go stay with my mother for a week. Then a week from Friday, I’m leaving town. Maddy, Anna, Erin and I are going to San Francisco to see Figaro I can’t wait.

I am hopelessly in love with Edward Cullen.

Tuesday and Wednesday we had MCAs… it was pretty lame. However on Wednesday I colored pictures of dinosaurs with Taylor and then started Twilight. Then that night I finished Twilight and became completely obsessed. So I’m obviously reading New Moon right now. Edward Cullen is wonderful. Aside from his kind of holographic skin when he goes in the sun… that would freak me out. But anyways, it’s amazing. I also didn’t think I’d like it because it sounds like SUCH a “tween” book. But surprisingly it isn’t.

The California trip is final. We can’t wait. It’s going to be Me, Erin, Maddy and Anna. We’re so excited. We have lots of fun plans and can’t wait to see Jen, Christina and Momoko. And of course I can’t wait to see Bradley, Brian, Dominique, and Carrie. Haha. I love it, it’s going to be so much fun.

I’m also listening to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Oh god. I’m home sick today with a sore throat… I’m up a bit too early though… I’m going to go read New Moon and maybe go back to sleep.

The benefit was last night! It went really well and I’m very happy with the way things turned out. We raised $754.71!!! I was so overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity and support. And I could not have done it without the help of the amazing artists and friends who were involved. Let’s take a moment to recognize them.

I love the Stephanie Johnstone songs that Jen sang at Rough Cuts. Basically, Jen is fantastical.

I have decided to try to be a little more accepting and empathetic. And while that does seem impossible for me, I’m going to try. I might end up less angry all the time, who knows? I guess we’ll find out. I may still have my bitchy moments, well, of course I will… but I think it’s time to start being a little kinder… hahaha. Oy. I’m making a goal for myself. I need more of those.

I have way too much to think about… I have to figure out all the stuff I’m singing like tonight. It’s not really working. I’m a little crampy, and I need some sleep. LATA.

OMIGOD OMIGOD YOU GUYSSS!

I’m obviously listening to Legally Blonde right now… anyways. I’m leaving for NYC on Thursday… I’m bringing my computer, possible updates then… We shall see. Something on the left side of my forehead/ear hurts… Can’t quite figure out what it is… AGH, IT HURTS.

Let’s see… I’m singing in Italian for juries… Maddy is singing Vedrai Carino I love that song… Anna and I were giggling because it’s the song Christina sang in Don Juan while riding the bike… and obviously that’s who Maddy was for Halloween hahaha. Win.

Basically, I’m exhausted. And it sucks… because I can’t function… and I think it’s about bedtime. I have a busy day tomorrow.

I haven’t done much with my life recently. I was sick all last week and then went to Fishtank over the weekend. The first time was opening night with dad, then the second time was the next night with a group of friends thanks to Jen. I obviously loved it. Hilarious. Ummm… I don’t know, I’ll give a good review later.

School today… yeah. That was just fantastic… I had an ENT appt… that was lovely as well. Not good news, not bad news. I don’t know. School-wise… I’m already slacking… that’s kind of pathetic. I shouldn’t be slacking two weeks into the semester. But I am. And it’s really stupid, like, I don’t know. The root canal and being sick didn’t help any.

I did have a great weekend though. Christina, Jen, Jeune Lune, Momoko, Hannah, Will, Sarah, Kaitlyn and Rachel… fun stuff.

Valentine’s Day Dance was on Friday night. Hannah, Maddy and Anna came over. It was a lot of fun. On Saturday I went out with the Westbys to see Stacia’s show and then Pizza Luce! Then Sunday Maddy and I went to see Christina’s show and had a very long brunch beforehand at which I could not stop eating. Gawwww. WAY TOO MUCH FOOD FOR HOPEY.
